André Goffinet, University of Louvain, Belgium
André Goffinet got his MD at the University of Louvain in 1975 and his board as neurologist in 1978. He started his research career at the Belgian National Fund for Scientific Research, with a PhD in 1984, was as a professor of Physiology at the University of Namur from 1989-2000, and at the University of Louvain until his retirement in 2016. His research focused on the role of Reelin in brain, particularly cortical development, on cortical evolution, and on the role of atypical cadherins Celsr1-3 in axon guidance and brain development.
He is co-author of 157 publications, with a H-index of 55 and 9950 citations.
