Shernaz Bamji, University of British Columbia, Canada
Dr. Shernaz Bamji did her Ph.D. at McGill University and her postdoctoral training at the University of California, San Francisco where she studied the role of adhesion molecules in synapse formation and plasticity. She is currently a Professor in the Department of Cellular and Physiological Sciences at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, B.C. Her research focuses on the cellular and molecular mechanisms of synapse formation and plasticity and especially the role of posttranslational palmitoylation in regulating these events.
